About Michelle
I’m a visionary leader, communicator, and strategist whose work spans entrepreneurship, authorship, media production, brand development, and kingdom-minded community building.
From founding Shine Magazine, an award-winning publication that reached over 40,000 women and was distributed nationally, to co-producing and hosting SHINE with Michelle on INSP Network, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others rise—personally, professionally, and spiritually. Whether through the written word, a strategic brand campaign, or a stage, my mission is to uplift, equip, and release others into their purpose.
I’ve authored several impactful books, including God Crazy, Overcoming the Seven Deadly Emotions, and The You Plan, along with the Freedom Series—a six-part collection focused on hope, healing, and wholeness. My newest book, SHINE Like a BOSS, launches in 2025, alongside our SHINE Like a B.O.S.S. conference series, which champions the values of Building Others, Sowing Purpose, and Serving Community.
In 2025, I accepted the role of State Director of She Leads Texas, an extension of the national leadership network She Leads America. Through this platform, I’ll be equipping and empowering women across the state to rise in their God-given influence—spiritually, professionally, and civically—by launching chapters, facilitating connection, and igniting collaboration.
As a business and brand strategist, I’ve partnered with national organizations including Walgreens, TRUFIT Athletic Clubs, Grace Wear Jewelry, Barna Research Institute, and John Maxwell's INJOY. I serve as Publisher of BOSS Media, where I help leaders amplify their message and build influence through strategic storytelling. I am also co-founder of the upcoming Next Step Recovery center alongside her husband, James, launching in 2026.
But my greatest title is Wife, Mom, and Mae Mae. My husband, Author, Business Leader and Partner, James Halverson, and I lead together in faith, business, and family—with seven amazing grown children and two beautiful grandchildren, Jaxon and Olive. Everything I do flows from the belief that legacy matters, and that when women and families rise together, whole communities change
